Michael Shipkin

Corporate Controller

Michael Shipkin is the Controller for H. Eric Richards, Inc.  In his position as Controller Mr. Shipkin is responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial operations and human resources.  He joined Prime care in March, 2009.

Mr. Shipkin has more than 20 years of financial executive experience overseeing fast paced, high growth start-up technology companies.  As controller of RISCmanagement, Inc., an IT service provider, Mr. Shipkin oversaw all accounting operations, human resources, as well as all banking relationships.  He secured capital to accommodate the high rate of growth for this company in the 1990's.  Most recently he worked for HighTechnique, Inc. another successful high-tech start-up company specializing in information security solutions.  Mr. Shipkin was instrumental in the success of both these companies.Mr. Shipkin comes to H. Eric Richards, Inc. with proven abilities in financial management and is a solutions oriented professional.  Mr. Shipkin's mission is to create a strong financial base and manage the rapid growth of H. Eric Richards, Inc.

 

Robert J. Mairs, IV

CEO and President

In September of 2007, Mr. Mairs increased his business holdings with the purchase of H. Eric Richards, Inc. a Medical supply company with its focus on State of Massachusetts Hospitals, Correctional Facilities, state sponsored schools, and Municipalities. With his site focused clearly on the future of his new company he set to work on the road map for expansion of a new segmented of business that would widen his new company’s customer base which has been very successful, and continues today. 

Robert Mairs brings over 25 years of direct sales, and marketing experience to H. Eric Richards, Inc., with the last 15 years as an entrepreneur. Mr. Mairs has focused his key strength in small business development and sales strategies to insure his companies’ continuous growth. This along with his depth of understanding of his customers product needs has allowed him to introduce innovative product solutions, and services to our customer base. These products, services, and technology solutions have often improved service, while assisting our customers in effectively reducing cost. It has been this type of dedication and partnership with his customers in tough economic times that has allowed him to insure continuous grow of his companies.

The acquisition of H. Eric Richards has created additional opportunities for increased business with expanded product and service offerings. Mr. Mairs understands the key to a successful relationship with his customer is to always be bringing new technology to the market which assists owners and operators in running their facilities more efficiently. H. Eric Richards, Inc. is now on its way to becoming one of North Eastern regions most effective distributors with the ability to service all of Massachusetts state facilities, along with small to large private nursing home groups.  Mr. Mairs continues to search for other innovations which will set H Eric Richards apart from the competition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lou Tavares

Director of Operations

Lou Tavares came to H. Eric Richards, Inc.  in 2004 from Lenox China Inc., with 25 years of experience as the Warehousing and Distribution and Quality Assurance Manager.  With success in cost savings initiatives at Gorham Textron and Lenox Inc. along with Lou's years of experience as a TEAM trainer has given him a broad experience base in team building.  This experience and his hands on approach to problem solving fills a key roll in our management team.  His focus has been to coordinate the distribution and customer service areas insuring a smooth flow of information between these key areas. 

We feel strongly we have put in place the management team necessary to move H. Eric Richards, Inc. to it's next level.  Mr. Tavares's mission is to ensure that all our customers receive the best medical supplies at the lowest possible price.  When combined with our friendly and knowledgeable customer service staff, we ensure our customers remain H. Eric Richards, Inc. key focus.
